Many "authors/writers":-)) including intelligent peoples:-)), have brought to everyone's attention the "Power Base/Ratio" of so called "US Jews" with a physical presence and population of 1.5%-2.0% of an estimated 308,000,000(includes Armed Forces abroad of course:-))living in the US of A.(disproportionate preponderance, one may phrase this phenomenon)
Having searched the various media outlets for a competitive example of power concentraion I find to my astonishment that ONLY ONE other "breed" can challenge the Ashkanazim for such an "achievement/exploit/beachhead"....these were the WELSH..the original Britons of Caesar's days, who it is rumoured by Dark Age Historians. Etymologists and some Archeologists to be the "Lost Tribes of Eretz"(Israel)
The term "welsh" is nothing more that an Anglo and Saxonic "hate" word :-)...meaning "foreigner" or "alien", Occasionally however...at times...from time to time...now and again...now and then...on occasions...once in a while is used/mixed with "barbarian".. This unaffectionate description was used by the finest mercenaries/soldiers of fortune that the Roman Empire could afford during their attacks on the BRITONS(Cymry/Welsh)in Brittanica around the time of Jesus Christ's ministry.
These Germanic and Dutch/Danish tribes (Angles-Saxons-Jutes)were the backbone of the Roman fighting machine..
Historians and Pre-historic and "Dark Age" Archeologists have found that only 20% to 40% of the Empires fighting force AT THIS TIME were actual born citizens of Rome(Roma).
Was Jesus's "Word" being listened to and spreading in Rome even at this time..Was this the Germinative seed of Christianity..Is this the real rationale for gate receipts falling quite astonishly at the local Gladiatorial Colosseums:-)
Something Historians never do...
It would be deceitful/duplicitous and quite Janus-faced to peddle the above "gate receipts falling" agenda, as even today at THIS TIME(now,)there is an abundance of proof to negate this conspiritual story and incriminating Roman Emporers of the first two centuries in this Christian persecution(period of marginalisation..say), for it was not until the AD-250's that the Diocletian Tetrachy "Decius" and "Valerian" initiated and began the Christian subjugations while the Emporer/Caesar "Diocletian" continued the oppressivenesses 30 years later..The fourth member of this Tetrachy "Constantius I" refused to fall into line with the Diocletian philosophy..
Ironically it was "Constantine the Great",son of Constantius and Dioclecian's successor who reverses all edicts againt the Christian Faith and pronounced the Roman Empire to be Christian...160 years AFTER King Lucius(156AD) of the Cymry (Britonnes)..the great grandson of King Caractacus/Caratacus(Caradoc in Cymric),had not as yet declared Brittanica as the first Christian nation.
As with todays accusations/indictments by various religious, political.social and racial minorities, some Christians of the 4th century and directly after this period completely amplified and hyperbolised the extent of this "pogrom".. It was called the "Cult of the Martyrs", Do the Christians have to lead the way all the time:-)
The Western Roman Empire expired in the 5th century, while the "Orthodox"*Eastern Byzantine Empire lasted another 1000 years with its capital "Constantinople"..Now called "Istanbul"

Hon. Thomas M. Rees of California
speaking in the House of Representatives on Wednesday, February 17, 1971
Mr. Rees-"Mr. Speaker, the birth of St. David, the Welsh patron saint, will be commemorated on March 1 by Welsh Americans throughout America-- nothing like the St. Patrick gatherings, though St. Patrick was born in Wales and grew up speaking Welsh, not Latin.
Very little has been written of what the Welsh have contributed in all walks of life in the shaping of American history...Twenty percent of the Pilgrim Fathers were Welsh, as was the Captain of the Mayflower.
How many know that almost 50 percent of the signers of the American Declaration of Independence were Welsh or of Welsh descent-- as were nine of the Presidents of the United States-- and that many of the universities and colleges such as Yale, Princeton, Brown, William and Mary, Virginia, Johns Hopkins, and Andover were founded by Welshman.
The man who financed the War of Independence was Robert Morris, Pennsylvania was founded by William Penn, and Rhode Island by Roger Williams, all were Welsh. It is strange indeed that such a small country-- as Wales, so many people are hardly aware of its existence-- has contributed so much more in proportion to its size than any other nation, and stranger still so little has been written of it. Oh, yes, the next time you are in the Capitol and feel like climbing the Washington Monument stairway, about halfway up there is a stone inscribed:
"FY IAITH, FY NGWLAD, FY NGHENEDL CYMRU - CYMRU AM BYTH!"
["My language, my land, my nation of Wales - Wales for ever!"]
Thomas Jefferson would have placed it where more people would see it for he was very proud of his Welsh origin.
It would take many pages to name the great Welsh Americans since the Founding Fathers, who have helped build America-- In government, industry, labor, finance, law, architecture, music, religion, literature.
Yes, the Welsh in America can be very proud of their heritage. And it is to be hoped that as each St. David's Day comes around more people will remember how much good has come from so small a country, where the greatest honor each year is to be crowned "Poet of the Year."
Philip Lader, United States Ambassador to the United Kingdom
speaking at the newly formed Welsh Assembly
on Tuesday, July 6th, 1999
The Presiding Officer:-"It is a particular delight for me to invite the Ambassador of the United States of America to address the Assembly. You are, sir, our first international guest to address the Assembly. Indeed, apart from Her Majesty the Queen and the Prince of Wales, you are the first person to address the assembled Members in the Chamber. Croeso i chi yma - a warm welcome to you.
Mr Philip Lader:- "Presiding Officer, First Secretary, Assembly Members, ladies and gentlemen, it is of course a great honour for me to be here, particularly at this time. By your leave:
(Spoken in Welsh) It is a great joy to be back in Wales once again. Long before I had the honour to represent my country in the United Kingdom, I came from South Carolina to Wales on holiday with my wife and daughters, and even after I leave this post I sincerely hope that I will be able to spend more happy times in Wales."
The Presiding Officer:-" That was almost as good as the Prince of Wales. "
Mr Philip Lader: -"The true diplomat--he said ‘almost’. Little did I dream, when I first visited Wales as a student of British constitutional history at Oxford, that 30 years later I would return in this capacity to visit this Assembly. The British constitution continues to evolve, and you, the Members of the first Welsh Assembly in 600 years, are reshaping it.
'Offa's Dyke runs from '15' to midway between '11' and '12'..To the left of this line is where many Britons were pushed by the Anglo-Saxons...It is now called Wales or Cymru in the Welsh(Cymric)language..Some irresponsible Historians indicate that the English (Angles and Saxons)slaughtered the retreating Britons both in the North and the West and that is the reason that only just over 3 miilion remain today in Wales..The far more intellectual spirited opinion of the Scientific and Astronomical Communities confirms the Cymry World View that Britannica was completely devastated in 562AD by a Meteoroid killing Britons and Anglo-Saxons alike..as was Bolivia in the very same year..Hence the Dark Ages of Britain... Historical review then starts backup on the arrival of new fresh 'English' people from Germant Holland and Denmark..There is no longer any Cymry Customs at the port of entry..Question..What is the DNA genetic make up of today's Englishman/woman...
Last year, I had the privilege of walking from Land’s End to John O’Groats. When I got to Carlisle, which is, as you all know, near the Scottish border, this woman came out, saw me and said, ‘Great day for walking.’ I agreed. She asked, ‘Wheredid you start?’ We Americans are not necessarily known for our modesty and so, somewhat smugly, I said, ‘Land’s End’, to which she responded, ‘That’s a good morning’s walk.’
In establishing this Assembly in the context of your remarkable history, Wales has come much further than a good morning’s walk. But the reason I am here today, and feel so privileged, is to assure you that as you continue on your way as an Assembly, the United States of America is with you on this very important journey.
When I walked Offa’s Dyke last year, I reflected on the fact that Welsh American connections are apparent in countless dimensions. We are told that a prince, Owain Gwynedd, reached America in the 12th century and, as a result, historians studying long-extinct native American tribes have discovered Welsh words and customs.
Some say that America was actually named after a Welshman, Richard Amerik, a wealthy Glamorgan customs officer in Bristol in the late 15th century who invested in the second voyage of John Cabot, the first European to land on American soil in 1497.
Not many Americans acknowledge the fact that William Penn wanted to name Pennsylvania ‘New Wales’, but instead named it after the Welsh word for head--pen, as in Penrith, and not after himself, as most Americans believe. Consequently, the Welsh American society of Philadelphia is the oldest ethnic organisation of its kind in America.
In Llanberis, there is a slate memorial to the Welshmen who signed the Declaration of Independence. In Scranton, Pennsylvania, there is a roadside marker commemorating the 125th anniversary of the 1869 Avondale mine disaster.
Compared with Ireland, Scotland and England however, only a tiny number of Welsh people went to America and yet the influence of the Welsh in the new world has been out of proportion to their numbers. Seventeen of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were of Welsh descent. Our chief justice of the Supreme Court, John Marshall, who shaped our constitution, was Welsh; Thomas Jefferson’s family came, as you know, from Snowdonia;
A Welshman, George Jones, co-founded The New York Times; a Welsh American named Oliver Evans invented the self-propelled automobile with a steam-powered engine and the great civil war author Harriet Beecher Stowe was Welsh.
Brynmawr college has a Welsh name and Yale, Harvard and Brown were founded by Welshmen. Elihu Yale is buried in St Giles’ church in Wrexham. The great architect Frank Lloyd Wright, the fiery labour leader, John Llewellyn Lewis, the muck-raking satirist Sinclair Lewis and the President of the Confederacy Jefferson Davis were all Welsh.

More recently, you well know the contributions to arts and entertainment in America of Welshmen such as D. W. Griffith the director, Shirley Bassey, Anthony Hopkins, Tom Jones, Richard Burton, Bob Hope and Howard Stringer. Just a few weeks ago, my wife and I were reminded, when we were with her, of another prominent American’s passionate interest in her Welsh descent--Hillary Rodham Clinton.
In my office back in London, the new deputy chief of mission, my chief operating officer, is now a fellow by the name of Glyn Davies--he is very proud of his Welsh heritage. I am surrounded by you!
But in trying to bring some of the old country to the new world, the Welsh immigrants left their mark all across America--Bangor, Maine; Cardiff, New Jersey, and the list continues. By the 1850s there were regular Welsh music festivals in my country--song and poetry with which you would be familiar. By 1870, more than 100 Welsh books, pamphlets, hymnals, collected sermons and literary magazines were published. A dozen Welsh language newspapers came and went. In the 1890s--around the peak of Welsh immigration to America--there were more than 500 dedicated Welsh congregations of worship.
My own home state of South Carolina is a good example. The South Carolina town of Society Hill in Darlington county was originally called Welsh Neck in colonial days. In fact, its current name, Society Hill, was derived from one of the oldest and most distinguished organizations of its kind in America, the St David’s Society. The civic-minded residents of Welsh Neck, who had come from Cardigan and Pembrokeshire in 1703 by way of William Penn’s colony, also founded St David’s Academy in 1778--a pioneer education institution. Their Welsh Neck Baptist church, built in 1738, is one of the oldest in the South, and their library was a beacon of enlightenment throughout the ante-bellum period.
In a way--and I use my state just as one example--the Welsh have helped to create the American ideology, the republican doctrine of personal independence and civic virtue.
Over the 200 years since our independence, our 50 states have become laboratories of democracy. With this new Assembly, Wales may become another important laboratory of democracy, dealing with Welsh problems, finding Welsh opportunities and fashioning Welsh solutions. I am reminded of what Tom Stoppard said:
‘It’s not the voting that’s democracy, it’s the counting’.
I might add respectfully, it is not the establishment of the institution, it is the execution which proves democracy.
Yesterday was an extraordinary day for me. Here in Wales, on the same day, I went to the ancient gardens of Aberglasney, the garden lost in time. A few hours later, I visited the Millennium Stadium, the most advanced technology construction, fit for a new century. A garden lost in time, a stadium looking forward to a new century"
